For three exciting days the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex becomes a vibrant gathering place filled with music food tradition and celebration as the Philippine Cultural Foundation Inc brings together thousands of people for one unforgettable festival.\n\nSCHEDULE:Friday\, April 10\, 2026 – 4:00PM-11:00PMSaturday\, April 11\, 2026 – 10:00AM-11:00PMSunday\, April 12\, 2026 – 10:00AM – 6:00PM\n\nEvery corner of PhilFest offers something to discover. Guests can stroll through a lively marketplace packed with Filipino flavors handcrafted products and cultural displays that showcase the creativity and heritage of the Philippines. The atmosphere is filled with laughter conversation and the rich scents of Filipino cooking creating a true fiesta experience from morning until night.\n\nLive entertainment takes center stage with performances happening throughout the festival. Talented artists from PCFI and visiting performers from across the United States deliver a wide range of shows that highlight Filipino artistry and passion. Young performers shine in Tanghalang Pambata while singers compete in Tawag ng Tanghalan. The powerful rhythms of Yugyugan street dancing and the graceful presentations of Flores de PhilFest add even more excitement and beauty to the program.\n\nOne of the most anticipated parts of the festival is the crowning of Miss and Mrs PhilFest where representatives of Filipino American organizations take part in a celebration of culture elegance and community pride. Adding to the spectacle are the Flores de PhilFest Parade and the grand PhilFest Parade which fill the grounds with movement color and festive spirit as performers and participants march in joyful celebration.\n\nBeyond the performances and festivities PhilFest also serves the community in meaningful ways. At the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center the Philippine Embassy will provide consular services during the Consular Outreach Program. SUMMARY:Songkran 2026 - Thai New Year Festival in Kissimmee
DESCRIPTION:“SONGKRAN” is the end of the old year and the beginning of the new year. Songkran is the day of celebration\, customarily originated in Southeastern Asia\, Thailand\, Laos\, Cambodia\, Sri Lanka. \n“SONGKRAN” is traditionally a water-blessing ceremony. This is the time to begin the year by extending  the gestures of respect to the elders\, teacher etc.\, wishing them longevity and happiness\, by pouring water on their hands. Songkran\, traditionally\, is the time that all celebrate the successful harvesting season\, preparing for the New Year and a new beginning. \nThe day usually begins with offering alms food to the monks\, being generous to others\, developing and purifying the mind. These merit-making endeavors are the welcome beginning of new life and the New Year.
