This event has received overwhelming response from local and distant communities alike.   Again this year\, Asia Trend Magazine is partnering with Mills 50 (an Orlando Main Street District)\, R.E.A.C.H. (Recognizing Educating Asian Cultural Heritage) and Y.E.S.S. (Youth Enrichment and Senior Services) to host the Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival on Sunday\, February 25 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at 728 N. Thornton Ave.\, Orlando\, FL 32803. \nThe festival parade starts at the corner of N Thornton Ave and Oregon St and will end at N. Thornton Ave and Colonial Drive. Today\, Tết Trung Thu continues to uphold the tradition of family togetherness as well as bringing happiness and joy to the kids through traditional customs. \nThe Vietnamese American Student Association at UCF is proud to present to you our annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival also known as Tết Trung Thu. We’ll be having our event on Sunday\, November 5th\, 2017 in the Student Union at the Pegasus Ballroom. Doors will be opening at 5:30 and the show will begin at 6PM.  \nForget about your worries and gain a little knowledge by coming out to experience the Vietnamese culture along with other talents at UCF. Throughout these 31 years\, VASA has served to help the Vietnamese community within UCF and the Orlando area. The organization was first established as a place for Vietnamese refugees attending UCF. It served as pillar of unity for refugees to feel welcome\, safe\, and loved in a new foreign land. As the years passed\, VASA grew into an organization to promote Vietnamese cultural awareness as a newer generation of Vietnamese Americans emerged. Currently\, the Vietnamese American Student Association’s main goals are to promote cultural awareness and promote Vietnamese culture within the UCF community. We strive to instill pride and a sense of culture within Vietnamese Americans today. \nOur CPP (Collective Philanthropy Project): Pacific Links Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps fight against human trafficking by investing comprehensively in at-risk youths and their communities to prevent trafficking specifically in Vietnam\, but spreading world-wide. Their primary goal is to encourage sustainable development in Vietnamese communities through community building and knowledge transfer between professionals in Vietnam and in the developed world. DESCRIPTION:Due to Hurricane Irma influence\, the location for the venue of Chio-Tian Folk Drums Performance has been relocated to the “Asian Community Resources Centre\, 16320 NW 48th Ave.\, Miami Gardens\, FL 33014” at 7:00 PM on September 18th (Monday). \nChio-Tian Folk Drums & Arts Troupe has developed an unique style of incorporating folk music\, dance\, along with martial arts discipline to express the traditional Taiwanese culture in a performance that traditionally take place as part of religious ceremony in Temples. DESCRIPTION:It is two days of immersing oneself in Japanese culture\, dance and music; learning the intricate maneuvers of martial arts such as sumo\, aikido\, judo\, karate\, kendo or kyudo; sampling authentic Japanese foods from the region’s best restaurants; shopping at dozens of vendors booths; enjoying more than 50 performances and workshops; and appreciating product displays from Japanese companies in Georgia\, the only such display in the United States. Whether the visitor’s interest lies in the intricate embroidery that decorates a finely woven kimono\, the mechanics of a Japanese kite\, or the art of caring for a bonsai tree\, there is something for everyone. \n$10.00 at the door (or can be purchased online); Children 6 and under free.
