Cities like Sydney\, London\, New York\, Los Angeles\, and San Francisco have held many successful Lunar New Year Parades that attract thousands of attendees each year. \nThe Year of the Dog marks the 7th annual Central Florida Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival held in Orlando\, Florida. This event has received overwhelming response from local and distant communities alike.   Again this year\, Asia Trend Magazine is partnering with Mills 50 (an Orlando Main Street District)\, R.E.A.C.H. (Recognizing Educating Asian Cultural Heritage) and Y.E.S.S. (Youth Enrichment and Senior Services) to host the Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival on Sunday\, February 25 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at 728 N. Thornton Ave.\, Orlando\, FL 32803. \nThe festival parade starts at the corner of N Thornton Ave and Oregon St and will end at N. Thornton Ave and Colonial Drive. The Dragon Parade\, which precedes the Festival\, is led by City of Orlando and Orange County officials together with representatives of numerous Asian organizations. \nThe parade will be followed by five hours of the Lunar Festival that will take place at 728 N. DESCRIPTION:It is two days of immersing oneself in Japanese culture\, dance and music; learning the intricate maneuvers of martial arts such as sumo\, aikido\, judo\, karate\, kendo or kyudo; sampling authentic Japanese foods from the region’s best restaurants; shopping at dozens of vendors booths; enjoying more than 50 performances and workshops; and appreciating product displays from Japanese companies in Georgia\, the only such display in the United States. Whether the visitor’s interest lies in the intricate embroidery that decorates a finely woven kimono\, the mechanics of a Japanese kite\, or the art of caring for a bonsai tree\, there is something for everyone. \n$10.00 at the door (or can be purchased online); Children 6 and under free.
