A cornerstone of Orlando’s lion dance and kung fu scene since 1981, Wah Lum Kung Fu Temple has thrilled crowds with teams as large as 50 performers during Lunar New Year. This year, they’re bringing more than 17 Lunar New Year shows all across town—spreading luck, energy, and celebration everywhere!

Feb 22: 14th Annual Central Florida Dragon Parade Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in East Asia. Cities like Sydney, London, New York, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco have also held many successful Lunar New Year Parades that attract thousands of attendees each year. Dragon Parade will celebrate its 14th anniversary as the largest Lunar New Year Parade in Florida. Please join us together with many local business and Asian cultural organizations to celebrate the happiest festivity.
The Year of the Horse marks the 14th annual Central Florida Dragon Parade Lunar New Year held in Orlando, Florida. This event has received overwhelming response from local and distant communities alike.
Asia Trend Magazine is partnering with Mills 50 (an Orlando Main Street District), R.E.A.C.H. (Recognizing, Experiencing Asian Cultural Heritage) and Y.E.S.S. (Youth Enrichment and Senior Services) to host the Dragon Parade Lunar New Year 2026 on Sunday, February 22th from 11 am to 12 pm.

The festival parade starts at the corner of Lake Highland Dr. and N. Mills Ave, and ends at N. Thornton Ave and Colonial Drive (728 N. Thornton Ave., Orlando, FL 32803). The City of Orlando and the Orange County officials will lead this community parade along with representatives of numerous Asian organizations.
The Lunar New Year Festival Market will be held in the EDOBOY parking lot at the end of the parade on Sunday, February 22th from 11 am to 4 pm. All proceeds benefit the Mills 50 Main Street District, Asia Trend, R.E.A.C.H., and Y.E.S.S.

Feb 28: 4th Annual Avalon SpringFest – Lunar New Year Festival
Bring your friends and family to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year of the Horse at Avalon Park Orlando! Come and enjoy exciting Dragon and Lion dances, Japanese Taiko, beautiful folk dances, and amazing martial arts-Kung Fu demonstrations on February 28, 2026 (Saturday) from Noon to 6pm.

Mar 1: 30th Anniversary OCPA Spring Festival Gala
The Greater Orlando Chinese Professionals Association (OCPA) will commemorate its 30th anniversary with its largest-ever Lunar New Year celebration at the Chapin Theater at the Orange County Convention Center on Sunday, March 1, 2026. This year’s theme, “Our Story,” transforms the traditional variety show into a narrative journey reflecting the experience of Chinese families moving to Orlando to pursue their dreams, engaging with local schools and deepening their ties to the community through cultural activities and celebrations.
The festivities will begin with a Cultural Festival from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring art competitions and exhibits, Chinese calligraphy, lantern making, traditional riddle games, and local entrepreneur showcases, immediately followed by the “Our Story” Gala production from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This year marks a historic milestone for OCPA. Hosting the New Year Gala at the Orange County Convention Center reflects the incredible growth and vibrant influence of the Chinese American community in Central Florida.
