“Calligraphy is an important part of our cultural heritage. It’s not only a language learning endeavor but also an art and meditation,” said Jennifer Lee, the director of WMACS. “WMACS has hosted this annual contest for more than 30 years, and we are grateful to see so many young students taking an interest in this art form. We hope that this contest will encourage more students to explore the beauty of Chinese characters and learn more about our rich cultural traditions.”

Chinese calligraphy is a captivating art form that involves using specific brushes, ink, and water to write Chinese characters, resulting in graceful and visually striking compositions. The competition aimed to showcase the beauty of traditional Chinese characters, and these young contestants did not disappoint. The judges were impressed by the creativity and skill displayed by the young amateur calligraphers.
