Visitors flock to the shrine seeking to have their prayers answered through fortune-telling, a practice known as kau cim. This involves lighting incense, approaching the Main Altar, making a wish, and shaking a bamboo container filled with sticks until one falls out. Each stick bears a number that corresponds to a piece of paper, which is then taken to fortune tellers in the nearby arcade for interpretation of what the future may hold.
During the Lunar Chinese New Year, the temple becomes a hub of activity as worshippers gather to pray, make offerings, and light incense, creating a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere.
