Join the Blasian Book Fair Orlando, an event dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the voices of Black, Asian, and Blasian authors. This event will take place on Saturday, September 14th, from 1 PM to 5 PM in A Perfect Union Art Gallery at West Oaks Mall.
This public event offers free books from Black, Asian and Blasian writers to build solidarity.
With more than 100 books already donated from publishing houses like Haymarket Books, Scholastic, and Simon & Schuster, the Blasian Book Fair in Orlando will offer the community more stories written for and by the Black, Asian and Blasian communities alongside their intersections. The free book fair includes Native literature to honor the people indigenous to this land. Attendees, also encouraged to dress and show off their heritage pride, can also expect a line up of panels and performance art.
Curated selections will center our joys, our struggles, and perspectives regarding social justice. Attendees are strongly encouraged to take books from a racial group they are not a part of. Special appearances:
