On July 15, Acting Consul General Fumiyo Tsuda participated in the “Doing Business with Japan” workshop held in Pompano Beach, Broward County.

Organized by the Office of Economic and Small Business Development, the event introduced local entrepreneurs to export and investment opportunities in Japan.

In her keynote address, Acting Consul General Tsuda highlighted Japan’s position as the world’s fourth-largest economy, its cutting-edge technologies, particularly in robotics, and its stable legal and business environment. She also expressed hope for a future trade and investment mission from Broward to Japan.

Mr. Eric Ahorner, President of Japan Business Consulting, provided practical advice on doing business in Japan, offering insights into Japanese business culture and tips for building long-term, successful partnerships.

In addition, representatives from Japan-related companies in the region-including Mr. Robert Moy from TradeStation Group, Mr. Tom Ito from HEICO/Blue Aerospace, and Ms. Cori Hallock from Japan-America Society of Miami/South Florida-shared their valuable perspectives on corporate engagement with Japan and support available for U.S.-Japan collaboration.

Over 90 entrepreneurs attended the event, participating in dynamic discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities-all in the spirit of strengthening economic ties between Japan and Broward County.
