On Saturday, September 25, Chinese American Association of Central Florida CAACF and the Chinese School of CAACF held its Mid-Autumn festival and Teachers’ day celebration in the Chinese School of CAACF Auditorium. Students, teachers and parents attended the event as well as special guests from the CAACF organizations, board, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.
Students learned about the teachings of Confucius, the “great sage and first teacher”, and the history of the mid-autumn festival. Students responded to trivia questions received mooncakes to celebrate, and families participated in a socially distanced scavenger hunt and received prizes.
The Chinese school of CAACF offers Chinese language and culture classes for ages 3 and up, as well as adult classes. This event was part of CAACF’s mission to teach Chinese culture and language.
