22nd Annual ASA Scholarship Pageant: A Night with the Stars of ASA!

The Asian Student Association at UCF’s Annual Scholarship Pageant is a 21-year long tradition meant to showcase and educate others on asian culture, as well as acknowledge the work and accomplishments of our members. This year, we want to highlight Asian representation within media. Representation is incredibly important in educating others, guiding conversations, and overall making people feel seen and heard. Did you know that the first stars were added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960, and within nearly 3,000 stars, only a little over a dozen are Asian? Growing up, many did not feel media reflective of themselves which is why media characters and actors who resemble us, mean so much.
