2nd Asian Pacific IDOL singing competition in Tampa

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 2-5 pm, the Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Advisory Council will hold the 2nd Asian Pacific IDOL singing competition at the Barksdale Senior Center at 1801 N. Lincoln Street in Tampa. The singing competition will immediately be followed by the 2025 Asian Pacific Scholarship Page at competition, all in one exciting event! This event is in conjunction with the City of Tampa celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May.
The singing competition will be based on voice quality 30 points, clarity in pronunciation 30 points, timing, stage presence, mastery in lyrics 30 points and overall delivery 10 points. this competition is open to Asian American and Pacific Islander ladies with at least 25% Asian or Pacific Islander blood, ages 15 to 60 years of age.
