“Estillo Filipino 2023”, A PHILIPPINE FASHION SHOW in Tampa

“PINTA AT MODA” (Paintings and Fashions), A PHILIPPINE FASHION SHOW, IS COMING TO TAMPA ON SATURDAY, JUNE 3, 2023, AT THE BAYANIHAN ARTS AND EVENTS CENTER
After a long absence due to the recent pandemic, Filipino designers RICHARD PAPA and EDGAR SAN DIEGO are returning to Tampa to showcase their new collection entitled “PINTA AT MODA” under the banner of ESTILLO PILIPINO (Philippine style). The show is presented by the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) for the restoration of the Barangay Pavilion. They will occur at the Bayanihan Arts & Events Center on Saturday, June 3, 2023, starting at 2 PM.
One of the many collections to be featured is Edgar San Diego’s “Ipininta, Inimprenta at Ipinorma,” This is a product of modern technology where everything seems possible. My techi artist made 2 sets of collages of my painting. One is a gathering of works with Flower subjects which I printed on white. The scattered half-tone flowers on the background were picked up from the different paintings.
And the second is a gathering of paintings with yellow ocher backgrounds ( mostly sunset scenes), which I printed on beige just with a striped background. It was digitally printed on “jusi” in a process called Sublimation.
On the contrary, Richard Papa’s collection of Filipiniana and haute couture gowns will blow your minds away.
