This year celebrating the 260th anniversary of the birth of the famous Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. Calbee Potato Chips cooperated with the Sumida Hokusai Art Museum in Tokyo to launch a variety of special Ukiyo-e packaging, including the popular masterpiece “Mount Fuji Seen Below a Wave at Kanagawa”. Two flavors of potato chips are available – the standard usushio (lightly salted) and umami-filled consomme punch – with two designs per flavor. The 65g pack retails at USD2.46 (¥260) each – a reasonable price to pay for the work of one of Japan’s most revered artists.
