I Want To Ride My Bicycle

There is a story of a monk that went across the Chinese border with his electric bicycle with sacs of sand. All the customs officers suspected him that he smuggles something and every time they took the sacks and ripped them apart they have found nothing in them but sand. After months one of the customs officers that made friends with that smart monk asked him, “we know that you must be smuggling something but I can’t believe how lucky you are that we never caught you, would you tell me what is it that you smuggle?”

The monk thought and then replied, “Well, I smuggle electric bicycles.”

Moral for life: If only we could mind shift our thoughts we could notice the important things in life.

By focusing on what seems obvious, we can make miracles. Think of all of your family of friends, when was the last time you said something as simple as THANK YOU!?

It is not that people do not care; it is that they don’t always see what is important, sometimes even if it is right in front of them.

Hong Kong’s dream as many other global cities is to become the silicon valley of Asia, the innovation hub. Same as in the times of the golden rush, same as now, everyone wants to be a pioneer, an explorer, an entrepreneur, an overnight Millionaire, but guess who are those to win no matter what?

Easy one, the winners are those to sell the shovels, as most don’t find gold but sand.

Now think, what about Life Quality? Friends? Family? Mindfulness?

It is not that people do not care; it is that they don’t always see what is important, sometimes even if it is right in front of them.

When I think of it, a person since he is born, all he thinks of is ‘me-me-me’ he wants only for himself. But let me share a secret with you, in order to receive, one needs to give and the more we give, the more we become – in value, in friends, health and happiness and yes I know what you are thinking of… also in financial success – $$$.

And remember:

Giving is with love,

To see a world in a grain of sand

To ride your bicycle on a beautiful day

With playful regards,

Galorian
