In commemoration with the FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH OF OCTOBER, tune in this Sunday, October 17th for the Zoom session #2 of the “history and culture of the Philippines in America” presented to you by the National Federation of Filipino Associations of America (NAFFAA) Southern Region.
If you enjoyed last sunday’s zoom about the beautiful indigenous people of Mindanao known as the “Blaans” that was presented beautifully by our guest speaker Josephine “Arjho” Turner, this Sunday, you will hear from Sharol Noblejas, the president of the Filipino Language and Cultural School from Jacksonville, Florida and learn how they educate our youth and why it is important to preserve our Filipino identity, language, and culture thru folk music, songs, and dances as she presents their talented American born Filipino-Americans perform dances by their group called “Fil-Mellinnilas.”
Looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday 10/17. Invite your teenagers, college students, and family members and learn a lot about the history and culture of the Philippines in America.
