The 6th annual Asia Trend Asian Cultural EXPO was held together with the Walgreens Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival on October 17, 2015 under a glorious sunny day. Four-hour cultural performances feature dragon dance, lion dance, Chinese instruments, martial arts, taiko drumming, yoyo, tai chi, judo and dances of China, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. More than 120 performers from 12 different non-profit organizations located in Orlando, Tampa and Gainesville came together to celebrate the Asian heritage. “It is such a wonderful experience to work with all these passionate performers and young volunteers from REACH of Central Florida and University High School,” said Shally Wong, event organizer of Asian Cultural EXPO. Wong said this year has become the best of all. “The mission of sharing the Asian culture with everyone regardless of race, religion and status is truly accomplished here and I cannot ask for more.” The event and parking were free and estimated 5,000 participants attended the event.

Orlando Taiko Dojo put together a surprise shout out at the finale to congratulate Asia Trend for the 10 years of achievement. The next year expo is set for October 15, 2016.
