(Hong Kong) Yuet Lai Shun Guangdong Dim Sum Restaurant and “Groupon” have launched the sale of a giant “Fortune Bun” worth US$2,178.45 (HK$16,888). It has been recognized in the World Records as the world’s most expensive steamed bun (www.recordsetter.com).
Giant Fortune Bun weighs about 22 lbs. The ingredients include dry abalone, fish maw, Japanese Cucumber, Edible bird’s nest, Japanese scallops and ham, and a dozen other expensive ingredients, all stuffed inside a large, steamed bun. According to reports, it tastes delicious.
