Universal Orlando Resort hosted the Multi Chamber event on Thursday, August 28th at “Rising Star” CityWalk. Welcome remarks were given by Bill Davis, President & COO, Universal Orlando Resort. He is hoping that we will all experience the excitement of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, which opened this summer. Mike Hughes, Sr. Director Revenue Operations, gave us an overview of current and future restaurants. We also found out that Cold Stone Creamery as well as Starbucks here at CityWalk were high producing stores – ranking in at #2 in the nation.

Each year the food prepared by Edward Thixton and his staff of Universal Orlando Resort Catering, never ceases to amaze our palates. We were also treated to special hot dogs from the “Hot Dog Hall of Fame” and ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery. This evening no one went hungry!

Remarks and event updating were given by Diana Bolivar of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Coco Johnston of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Rogue Gallart of the Central FL Disability Chamber, and John Davis of the African American Chamber of Commerce. It was a great evening of networking, lots of photo opportunities, meeting new friends and visiting with old friends. For the AACC, it was nice to see members from our Corporate Partners join us for the evening. Also present were Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings; and Eddie Fernandez, Orange County Clerk of the Courts.

Thank you for Diane O’dell and her staff – Valerie Read, Polly Tudela and Allyson Wilkenson for making this event a success. We look forward to another Multi Chamber event in 2015.
