It was like yesterday when we hosted the first Dragon Parade Lunar New Year 12 years ago at the Hillcrest Ave. Not sure how many people remember this? And not sure how many people we touched or inspired along the journey. One thing for sure is that it is worth the effort. For those who have not attended this before, I hope that you may consider to join us next year make it your first time! Unity and Harmony – Celebration of Diversity (We are proud to come up this slogan 12 years ago)

A large crowd gathered in and around Mills 50 district on Sunday, February 5 for the 11th Annual Central Florida’s Dragon Parade Lunar New Year.  Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in East Asia. Many Asian organizations in America hold large celebrations and parades to share its spring festivity. The Central Florida Dragon Parade organized by Asia Trend, Mills 50 (an Orlando Main Street District), R.E.A.C.H. (Recognizing, Experiencing Asian Cultural Heritage) and Y.E.S.S. (Youth Enrichment and Senior Services), featured colorful dragon dances and lion dances accompanied by the thumping beat of drums. Dragon Parade with local elected officials, such as City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, US Congressman Maxwell Frost, City Of Orlando Commissioner Patty Sheehan, City of Orlando Commissioner Robert Stuart, Florida State Representative Anna Eskamani, Office of State Attorney Monique Worrell, and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami Director General Chou.
