Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens: Bamboo & Bonsai Gala

On March 4, Consul General Nakai was invited to the “Bamboo & Bonsai Gala” at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. The Gala was an opportunity to deepen exchanges with many of the museum’s stakeholders in the promotion of Japan-Florida ties.

Consul General Nakai had pleasant chats on how to further cooperation with Palm Beach County Mayor Gregg K. Weiss, Mr. Randal Bake, President of Morikami’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Brent Sergot, President of Southeast Toyota and a main sponsor of the Morikami, and other friends who are working toward cultivating Japan-Florida goodwill and friendship.

During the gala dinner, Consul General Nakai was honored to be acknowledged first in the introduction of important supporters and friends of the Morikami, and enjoyed with other guests, a wonderful stage performance, an excellent taiko performance by “Fushu Taiko”, as well as fabulous fireworks and a laser light show over the renowned Japanese garden and pond.
