
PHILIPPINE CULTURAL FOUNDATION, INC. (PCFI) AND OTHER ASIAN LEADERS RECEIVE PROCLAMATION OF THE ASIAN AMERICAN PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH OF MAY FROM THE HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

Wednesday, June 4, 2025 – Mr. Hung Mai, the liaison officer of the Asian Americans in Hillsborough County, invited all the Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders of Tampa, including Vivian Furigay-Didgeon, Senior Vice Chairman of the Board, and Nhick Ramiro-Pacis, Director of Cultural Affairs, of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc., to receive the annual proclamation presented by the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County.

Also invited and present at the proclamation were members of the Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Advisory Council (MAAPIAC), including Joey Omila, an advisory council member. The council was headed by the council president, Mariben Andersen.

Also present were members of the National Association of Asian American Professionals of Tampa Bay.
Every year, the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County gives this proclamation to the Asian American community of Tampa, recognizing their contribution to the community.
