8 ELEPHANTS & A DREAMING DRAGON

8 elephants wished to wake up the dreaming dragon.

The 1^st elephant said: “let’s do the elephant’s dance and shake her up gently.”

So they did until the 8^th elephant said: “Stop! It will take a year doing so.”

The 2^nd elephant said: “let’s also play Jazz music.”

So they did until the 8^th elephant said: “Stop! It will take 2 years doing so.”

The 3^rd elephant said: “let’s also tickle her then on her nose with feathers, she might think we are flies.”

So they did until the 8^th elephant said: “Stop! It will take 3 years doing so.”

The 4^th elephant said: “let’s also get the crystal ball from under her arm and play with it until she will wake up anyway.”

So they did until the 8^th elephant said: “Stop! It will take 4 years doing so.”

…

All the elephants looked at the 8^th elephant and said: “We don’t get it, how come that we try harder and you reply that it will take us longer? Why is that so?”

So the 8^th elephant said: “When you try too hard to achieve something you reach opposite results. Now, follow me, let’s go and I will tell you the secret.”

“WHAT! What secret? Wait! Where are you going?” the dreaming dragon opened one eye and then the other to see that there are not 8 elephants, not 7, not 6, not 5 , 4, 3, 2… and not even 1 elephant around.

‘Was it a dream or not?!’ thought the dragon and closed her eyes again.

Morality and message:

1. When you try too hard to achieve something you reach opposite results!
2. If you wish to be happy, make sure to live a balanced harmonious life!
3. Life is a dream, and dreams… are also dreams!

Did you like these elephants? Then you’re probably an overachiever, just like me and many other entrepreneurs out there. That’s not a bad thing. Striving to do better work, accomplish more, get healthier, follow your dreams to change yourself and be a better person is what makes and will make you and your business successful.

Now I will leave you to think: Who are these 8 elephants? Why do they wish to wake up the dragon? Is there a dreaming dragon inside each of us and how to wake him/her up?
