2016 Spring Festival 【春祭り】

Come join the Japanese Club at UF in celebrating Japanese culture and language by attending the annual Spring Festival! Called 春祭り (haru-matsuri, in Japanese), this festival is designed to share and showcase both modern and traditional Japanese culture to members of the Gainesville community. Both students and non-students alike are welcome; the event is FREE!

Asian-style food will be provided by Miya Sushi, a regular partner of the Japanese Club. Several performances will also take place, including:
– Traditional Japanese Drum performances (called, taiko)
– A traditional Japanese Koto performance
– Traditional Japanese dance
– Japanese Maid Café
– A photo booth
– An introdcution by a member of the Japanese Consulate
– and MORE!!!

The event officially starts at 11 AM and will end at 5 PM.

Several other organizations around the University of Florida campus will also be in attendance in the form of tabling and presentations.
