This festival is family oriented and the admission is FREE. It is a showcase for Japanese culture, with a wide spectrum of performances that include: a one-hundred-member Japanese drum (taiko) ensemble; Koto (Japanese harps); Japanese traditional dance; Iai (Japanese martial arts); Cosplay competition; and much more. Delicious Japanese foods will be made available by local Japanese restaurants. Children can enjoy the many Japanese carnival games, such as the always-fun water balloon fishing and the challenging “super ball” scooping. Many cultural exhibits and presentations, such as the iconic tea ceremony and fascinating calligraphy, will be displayed. Also, you may find those perfect holiday gifts at the Flea Market, sponsored by Mitsukoshi USA, Rounding out the fun is the exciting and extensive raffle – included in the large number of prizes are many gift certificates .
