VASA Presents: Black April Commemoration

Apr 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

VASA Presents: Black April Commemoration

On April 30th, 1975, Black April was marked as the Fall of Saigon where the city was conquered by the Vietnamese Communist forces from the North. In effect to this, a significant amount of the Vietnamese population immigrated to America hence increasing America’s melting pot with Vietnamese communities around the country.

On April 18th, 2018, the Vietnamese American Student Association would like to invite you, your family, and friends out to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. We will be honoring the past and discussing the history and struggles of Vietnam.

We will have guest speakers come in to share their experience and we would love it if our members could share their stories, share their parents’ stories, or have parents come in and share their personal experiences.

Please wear BLACK attire or appropriate clothing (business casual). There will be refreshments served. Everyone is welcome!

Time: Doors open 5:30
Location: UCF Global Room 101
