The last Saturday in April always marks the day where Tai Chi and Qigong students of “all levels”come to “play Taiji” by doing their routines bare-hand or with weapons to spread an “Internal energy wave” starting at 10 am with it’s main purpose “to heal the world” and educate the general public the amazing health-benefits Tai Chi and Qigong has to offer! I want to personally thank Johnson Young and Lana Liu for letting me use the Westgate Gate Flea Market {Bldg. B. back- parking lot} 8548 West Irlo Bronson Hwy. As the site for this event! This number of people “this year” as compared to other years was significantly “smaller” but sometimes “less is more” and the “quality of the people” was outstanding! From the teachers to the spectators everyone was “open” to listen to everyone’s views and opinions and “try new things” A woman from “across the world” Denmark found out about my event though a good friend of mine, Eleanor Wong who was vacationing for 2 weeks in Orlando and “formally” asked me if she could attend my event. I said “All are welcome who are interested” She then told me she has been a “student” of the “Tung-family- style “a direct descendent of the Yang-Taiji and has been practicing for 12 years! and sent me a sent me a email website of her group and her “master”. I was very impressed! I said to Stella, I would be “honored” if you would attend and she accepted and brought her husband Allan as well. At 10 am, “The event “ started, participants began “their forms” which included “Yang 24-short form, “Taoist-earthstyle”, “Tung-style to name a few. The “spectators” watched as the “Tai Chi players” performed their movements as”fluid as running water” with a constant flow of good “jing”being transmitted to “the world”! One of the spectators Lois, a good friend of mine, noticed even though the forms were “different” she could see the balance, coordination and concentration the “same” with all the performers. “it was just so beautiful to watch”! After the forms concluded, the audience wanted to know the background of each “demonstrator” which we gladly shared to show the “committent and dedication” it takes to be “proficient at this Art! After a small break, the teachers, “sifu’s” all volunteered to share their “Qigongs” with the audience letting them feel through the “different’ movements their own “internal energies”! It was now time to start the “Friendship Demonstrations” which included Yang-24, Meimen “Chan Mei Door Taiji {learned in Taipei, Taiwan}, William CC Chen style, 60 movements and straight sword form, and the fast, Chen style Broadsword. It is now time to thank “everyone” who showed up and participated, with the majority consensus that the “groups internal energy generated from this event in some “good way” healed the world!!
