Our final event on December 10, 2014 was sponsored by John Mai of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management at the East End Market Upper Deck in Orlando. For some of us first-timers to this restaurant – food was very good. Great mix of attendees – bankers, entrepreneurs, attorneys, and realtors. John Mai is a long-time member of the AACC. He has served on the Board of Directors and as an Officer. He co-chaired our 2014 GDA Event, which was a “sold out” event.

At this luncheon, we learned about retirement planning, tax strategies for business owners, entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals. Great emphasis was put on how to stay within the IRS rules. So often we tend to listen to people “not in the financial profession” only to find ourselves in trouble with the IRS. Seek out financial professionals to protect your business.

Pauline Ho of Laus Consulting also provided information on the tax codes, filing requirements and what companies should be looking out for. Again, helping us to stay out of trouble.

This was a great event to end 2014 and excellent venue for networking. We look forward to 2015 to offer more educational lunch and learns.

Join us on March 27, 2015 to celebrate “Asian American Night at the Amway Center”. We will have great entertainment, t-shirts with ticket purchase and a fun-filled evening.
