The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida officially introduced BB&T Bank as the Chamber’s inaugural Corporate Patron at a recent Business After Hours reception in recognition of Asian American Heritage Month.
Hosting the networking event was Hung Nguyen, Vice President at BB&T, and Kathy Hazelwood, BB&T Vice President and Regional Multicultural Markets Officer.
“The new Corporate Patron program is an opportunity for companies who support the Asian American business community to participate at a higher level in our business-to-business initiatives with our members,” said Gail Rayos, president of the Asian American Chamber.
“We welcome BB&T to the Chamber and appreciate the enthusiasm and insights the bank leadership already has shared with our members.”
The Business After Hours also was a chance to celebrate the grand opening of the new Orlando Fashion Square branch on East Colonial Drive of BB&T, one of the largest financial services holding companies in the U.S. with a strong and growing bank presence throughout Central Florida.
