ORLANDO, Fla. – The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida is pleased to announce the installation of new Chamber President Kannan Srinivasan and the 2017 Board of Directors and Officers at a ceremony officiated by City of Orlando Commissioner Patty Sheehan.
Srinivasan, who previously served as president-elect of the Chamber, is president and CEO of GlobalKTech Inc., a Lake Mary-based information technology development and services firm. Srinivasan succeeds 2016 President Khalid Muneer.
The Board of Directors and Officers for 2017 are:

Public officials, community leaders, corporate partners and Chamber members attended the annual installation luncheon held at the Izziban Sushi And Korean BBQ venue in Orlando. The Chamber was honored to have Commissioner Sheehan preside over the installation. She congratulated the Chamber directors and noted the growth of the Asian community and its many contributions to the culture and commerce of Orlando. In taking on the role of president for the 31st year of the Chamber, Srinivasan said: “We celebrate the diversity of our Asian community and businesses and the creativity and strength found in Orlando. Our chamber members and leadership reflect that diversity, and I am so honored to be the first Indian American to have the privilege to serve as president of the chamber.”He pointed out that Asian owned business continues to grow in Central Florida by double-digit percentages, helping to power the local economy. “Our mission as a Chamber is to help our members prosper and grow, and to serve as a bridge between our many Asian American communities. This year, we are working to extend this bridge from Orlando to the continent of Asia by hosting trade delegations and supporting partners such as the Central Florida International Trade Office.”
