The City of Tampa’s newly formed Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Advisory Council (MAAPIC) will host the first Tampa Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival at Curtis Hixon Park, on Saturday, May 13thfrom 10 AM – 6 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will feature cultural performances from a variety of AAPI ethnic groups. It will also have a variety of food, retail vendors and non-profit organizations from Asia and the Pacific Islands. In addition, AAPI owned and operated businesses and targeting AAPI demographics will be exhibiting.
The MAAPIC is building on last year’s successful event held at Water Works Park. That event drew an estimated crowd of 750. This year’s attendance is expected to be approximately about 2000.
The MAAPIC proudly invites you to participate, share your authentic cuisine, or exhibit your beautiful and rich culture.
The MAAPIC hope to make this an annual festival in May –Asian Pacific Islander Heritage month and look forward to building a stronger diverse community.
Each 10×10 space is $100 and no cost to non-profit organizations only promoting their group. The booth will be assigned prior to the event.
