In celebration of Buddha Day, Mother’s Day, and the 48th anniversary of Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, Orlando service Center held its annual Family Festival from 10am to 12pm on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

Tzu Chi members and guests gathered in line first to bath the Buddha signifying the cleansing of one’s greed, anger and ignorance. Children then paid tribute and respect to the mothers and elderly by offering tea.

Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi was founded by Master Cheng Yen in 1966 in Hualien, Taiwan with the aim to promote and carry out charitable and humanitarian work.  Master’s mission has since spread throughout the world in 47 countries and carried out by million volunteers. Tzu Chi’s activities include case management, medical, educational and disaster relief.
