Atlanta JapanFest 2014 was held at Gwinnett Center in Duluth GA on September 20 and Sep 21. This two-day festival drew over 18,500 attendees, one of the largest attendance figures in the festival’s 28 year history. Atlanta JapanFest has become the largest Japanese festival in the Southeast, and one of the largest in the United States.

JapanFest featured the famous Candy artist Candy Miyuki, Sushi demonstrator Mineko Moreno, Matsuriza Taiko, Artistry of Japan Cuisine demonstrated by Chef Ryosuke Murakami (Chef of the Consul General of Japan), Sushi 101 Demo and Explore Japan by Carl Rosa, “Kawaii” Bento Making demonstration by BentoUSA, Musical Guests Junko Fujiyama and Madoka Oshima, Samurai Sword Soul performance by Yoshi Amao and Koji Nishiyama, Different cultural workshops and exhibitions were also available including tea ceremony, kimono try-out, calligraphy demonstration, origami workshop, outdoor Sapporo beer garden, and bonsai trees exhibition.
