On the weekend of July 11-13th, the largest Chinese Martial Arts Championship in North America is coming to the Orlando area. The event will be held at the gracious Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. Taking place in our own ‘back yard’, this event is the crown jewel of the entire global International Chinese Martial Arts Tournament Circuit & is well respected by martial artists the world over. Martial artists of all skill levels, individual practitioners, teachers, school owners, school teams, students & family, friends & supporters of the martial arts are all welcome to participate & enjoy the unique events & opportunities this weekend promises.
This year, individual competitors & teams from all corners of the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Central & South America, as well as from the Middle East, former Russian Republics & the Caribbean are already signing up & making their travel plans to compete in this worldclass tournament. If these dedicated martial arts schools & students can muster up the energy to travel hundreds, even thousands of miles from their comfortable homes & native countries, just for a chance to compete in this prestigious tournament, then those of us residing right here in Central Florida would be remiss if any of us let this golden opportunity slide! If you or one of your family members, or friends are involved in martial arts in any way & live within a hundred miles of this event, whether you are from Orange, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Seminole County, or be yond, trust me, you should do whatever it takes to attend. For one glorious weekend this July, drag yourself from your summer wallowing spots & join your peers from around the world in celebrating the best of Chinese Martial Arts! The gauntlet has been thrown; the glove is in the ring. Be there, or be square.
With over 500 individual divisions to compete in, large cash prizes for teams & individuals, 4 levels of medals for each event, demonstrations & seminars scheduled with internationally renowned Masters, a thousand competitors from all over the world, this event has something for everyone. Held at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort, (6000 West Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34746) one will find both fine restaurants & elegant accommodations. As a gift to those who would like to stay at the Gaylord for any portion of the tournament, the sponsors have made arrangements with the hotel to offer discounted rates for all martial artists, their families & friends. Furthermore, tournament goers will also be offered discounted tickets to Disney Theme Park attractions: Truly something for everyone.
