On October 19, 2014, Sangam – The Indian Students Association at University of Central Florida hosted its annual diwali show celebrations at the university. The event was hosted in the Pegasus ballroom beginning at 6 pm. The event was free for all UCF students, faculty, and staff to attend. There were performances from various organizations and teams around campus such as Knights Khangna & Knight Raas as well individual performers of all different styles from across India. Over 450 people attended the event marking it as the most successful diwali show to date hosted. All were served appetizer and dinner catered by Aashirwad restaurant from here in Orlando. Diwali is universally regarded as a time where people reflect on the positives of good over evil marking the start of the new Indian calendar year. Sangam would like to thank everyone who helped make the event such a big success. We look forward to host more cultural and exciting events in the near future.
