World Tai Chi and Qigong Day (WTCQD), is an annual event held the last Saturday of April each year to promote the related disciplines of T’ai chi ch’uan and Qigong in nearly eighty countries since 1999. Whether you’re experienced or new to the art and meditation of Tai Chi and Qigong, the day encourages you to join an event and share in the peace. On April 30, there were about 200 people in Village, Orlando and Tavares Tai Chi instructors and students hosted World Tai Chi and Qigong Day.
Orlando Han Qing Taiji Culture & Art Center is one of the group who is supporting Asia Trend’s events and Central Florida community events. They host Tai Chi beginner classes on every Thursday morning at The Villages Lake Sumter Landing. And every Saturday morning at the Orlando Jay Blanchard Park.
