The Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association (GOAABA) hosted its 2022-2023 Installation Event on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Oudom Thai & Sushi located in Downtown Orlando, sponsored by Rebecca L. Palmer Law Group. Over 70 attendees were in attendance for the celebration, including Shally Wong, Special Assistant to Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. Attendees witnessed Orange County Circuit Judge Tarlika Nunez-Navarro swear in the following members to the 2022-2023 GOAABA Board of Directors:

During the Installation Event, the Past Presidents of GOAABA, including Lisa Gong Guerrero, Christine Malamanig Berk, Vanessa Alexandra Braga, Annie Kwong, Leia Leitner, Onchantho Am, and Kenway Wong, gave speeches of encouragement and advice to the Incoming President during GOAABA’s traditional Passing of the Gavel Ceremony. Shally Wong, Special Assistant to Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, also addressed the Greater Orlando community, the Past Presidents of GOAABA, and the 2022-2023 GOAABA Board.
Following the Passing of the Gavel Ceremony, Incoming President, Cathleen Winter, presented an award to Immediate Past President, Kenway Wong, for his achievements, dedication, and commitment as President on the 2021-2022 GOAABA Board. Incoming President, Cathleen Winter, also presented an award to Immediate Past Treasurer, Scott Leitner, for his dedication and years of service as Treasurer on the 2019-2022 GOAABA Board.

The Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association (GOAABA) is a voluntary organization that was incorporated on October 19, 2009 to represent the interests of Asian American attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals in the Greater Orlando area.
