Yakisoba

Yakisoba is a delicious, sweet-savory Japanese dish commonly enjoyed at summer festivals. The dish is a essentially a pan-fried noodle dish made with, noodles, Worcestershire sauce, pork, cabbage, beansprouts and spring onion besides other ingredients, and often topped with dried bonito fish flakes ,”katsuobushi,” and dried seaweed flakes,”aonori”. A bit of red-pickled ginger or “benishoga” is usually placed on the finished dish or to the side. Despite its name, the noodles in yakisoba are wheat flour noodles rather than buckwheat “soba” noodles.
